Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for domestic properties, ensuring compliance with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
- Execute industrial wiring projects, including motor controls, three-phase systems, containment, and machinery connections in various commercial and industrial settings.
- Conduct thorough testing, inspection, and certification of electrical installations (EICRs, Minor Works, etc.) in accordance with relevant standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults efficiently in both domestic and industrial environments, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
- Interpret and work accurately from electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installations.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and best practices on all sites.
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and team members, providing clear communication and exceptional service.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects for proper documentation and billing.
Required Skills
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent recognised qualification.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) qualification.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience as a qualified electrician in both domestic and industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in fault finding, electrical testing, and inspection techniques.
- Valid ECS/CSCS Card for working on construction sites.
- Full UK Driving License.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2391/2392 Inspection and Testing qualifications.
- Experience with industrial control systems (e.g., PLCs, VFDs).
- First Aid at Work certification.
- IPAF / PASMA certification for working at heights.
