Key Responsibilities
- Design, install, and configure sound systems for various events, including concerts, theatrical productions, corporate presentations, and festivals.
- Conduct thorough sound checks and system calibrations to ensure optimal audio quality and coverage.
- Operate mixing consoles (digital and analog), microphones, processors, and other audio equipment during live events.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on audio equipment to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate effectively with lighting engineers, video technicians, stage managers, and performers to achieve integrated technical solutions.
- Manage audio inventory, ensuring equipment is properly stored, maintained, and accounted for.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, particularly concerning electrical setups and rigging.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with live sound reinforcement and mixing techniques.
- Proficiency in operating digital and analog mixing consoles (e.g., Yamaha, Midas, Behringer).
- Strong understanding of audio signal flow, acoustics, and sound theory.
- Experience with microphone selection, placement, and wireless systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex audio issues quickly and efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment (speakers, amps, cables).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant degree or diploma in Audio Engineering, Music Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with d&b audiotechnik, L-Acoustics, or similar professional loudspeaker systems.
- Knowledge of audio networking protocols (Dante, AVB, etc.).
- Certification in rigging or working at height.
- A valid UK driving license.
