Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Seasonal Line Painting Helper in the vibrant Forest Hill South area of Toronto. This is an exciting and essential opportunity to contribute directly to the safety and visual appeal of our urban landscape during the busy spring and summer months. As a Line Painting Helper, you’ll be an integral part of our professional crew, assisting experienced technicians in the precise marking of roads, parking lots, recreational areas, and other surfaces. This hands-on role involves a variety of tasks crucial to successful project completion, from preparing work sites to handling equipment and ensuring the accurate application of traffic paint.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of surfaces for line painting, including sweeping, cleaning, and basic crack filling.
- Help with the loading and unloading of line painting equipment, tools, and materials from vehicles.
- Support the setup and dismantling of work zones, including placing safety cones, barricades, and signage.
- Operate basic hand tools and power equipment under supervision, as required.
- Assist experienced painters with stencil placement, measuring, and marking lines according to specifications.
- Perform traffic control duties (flagging) to ensure the safety of the crew and the public.
- Clean and maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working order.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as provincial regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the workday.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in an outdoor environment in varying weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Valid G2 or G Class Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a general labour, construction, or outdoor maintenance role.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and power equipment.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
