Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive general practitioner consultations, including diagnosis, treatment, and referral.
  • Utilize specialist expertise to manage complex cases and provide advanced care within your area of specialization.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring patient engagement and adherence.
  • Oversee chronic disease management programs and promote preventative health strategies.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.
  • Participate in regular clinical meetings, peer reviews, and continuous professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of clinical services and patient care pathways.
  • Provide compassionate and culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population.
  • Adhere to all relevant medical ethics, professional guidelines, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practice.
  • Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice (MRCGP) or equivalent.
  • Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in a relevant medical specialty.
  • Proven experience in both general practice and your chosen specialty.
  • Exceptional clinical diagnostic and treatment skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and empathy skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in using electronic patient record systems.
  • Ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher medical qualifications or fellowships in a sub-specialty area.
  • Experience in medical education, supervision, or mentorship of junior doctors.
