Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned properties and premises.
- Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems for any unusual activity.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations.
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports.
- Enforce company policies and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Provide assistance to clients, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Report any suspicious activities or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
Required Skills
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent observation and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties, including standing, walking for extended periods, and occasional lifting.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience.
- Completion of a post-secondary program in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record (if vehicle patrols are involved).
