Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine track maintenance and repair tasks, including replacing ties, rails, and other track components, under direct supervision.
- Assist with the inspection of tracks, switches, railway crossings, and other railway infrastructure to identify defects or hazards.
- Operate a variety of hand tools and small power tools safely and efficiently for track work.
- Clear brush, vegetation, debris, and snow from the railway right-of-way to ensure clear passage and visibility.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members, supervisors, and other railway personnel.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety protocols, procedures, and railway operating rules at all times.
- Actively participate in all provided training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Support overall railway operations by ensuring the integrity and safety of the track system.
- Work outdoors in diverse weather conditions, which may include extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow.
