Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the mooring and unmooring of vessels, securing lines and gangways safely.
- Participate in the loading and unloading of cargo, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Operate and maintain various dock equipment, such as forklifts, cranes, or pallet jacks, under supervision and after proper training.
- Perform general dock maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and organized work area.
- Monitor dock activities to identify and report any safety hazards or operational issues promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth and efficient dock operations.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
