Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, manage check-ins and check-outs, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Efficiently schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the practice's diary to optimize clinician time and patient convenience.
- Handle all incoming calls, emails, and in-person inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information or directing calls appropriately.
- Maintain precise and confidential patient records, ensuring all data is updated and accessible in compliance with GDPR regulations.
- Process payments, manage billing inquiries, and liaise with insurance providers as required.
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked with necessary forms and information.
- Communicate effectively with dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to ensure smooth patient flow and coordinated care.
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed to maintain seamless operations.
- Assist with recall systems and outreach to maintain patient engagement and ensure regular check-ups.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a reception or administrative role, preferably within a healthcare or dental setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new software.
