Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch, adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, and potentially forklifts (if certified), in a safe and efficient manner.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring optimal space utilization and easy access.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock rotation, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following 5S principles and company safety protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily operational goals and meet deadlines.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods for transit.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout a shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse environment.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels, counting, and recording data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong team-player mindset.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines rigorously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ year) in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck) is a significant asset.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
