Key Responsibilities
- Assist with grape processing, including sorting and crushing during harvest season.
- Support cellar operations, such as racking, filtering, and blending under supervision.
- Participate in bottling and labeling processes, ensuring quality control and adherence to standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the production areas, cellar, and all equipment.
- Assist with inventory management of wine, supplies, and packaging materials.
- Operate and maintain winery equipment safely and efficiently after comprehensive training.
- Prepare products for shipment and assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality control standards set forth by the winery.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various temperature conditions (e.g., cool cellar environment).
- Strong work ethic, a proactive, 'can-do' attitude, and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately and safely.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as an integral part of a collaborative team.
- Reliable transportation to the Downtown East, Regina location.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to regulations concerning alcohol handling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a production, hospitality, retail, or agricultural setting is considered a plus, but not strictly required.
- Genuine interest in wine, winemaking processes, or local food and beverage production.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including some evenings or weekends, particularly during peak seasonal periods (e.g., harvest).
