Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and welcome all museum visitors, providing a friendly and informative first point of contact.
  • Provide general information about museum exhibits, facilities, programs, and local attractions.
  • Monitor visitor flow and activity within exhibition areas to ensure the safety of guests and security of artifacts.
  • Answer visitor questions courteously and accurately, or direct them to appropriate staff members.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures of the museum, including light setup and securing areas.
  • Ensure exhibits are neat, tidy, and presentable throughout operating hours.
  • Handle minor first aid situations and emergency procedures as trained, including evacuation protocols.
  • Process admission fees, gift shop purchases, and memberships using a point-of-sale system (if applicable).
  • Uphold museum policies and procedures, ensuring a respectful and enjoyable environment for everyone.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance knowledge of exhibits, collections, and visitor services best practices.
  • Report any maintenance issues, security concerns, or unusual incidents to supervisory staff promptly.
