Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities, to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a diverse team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relations to optimize stock levels and minimize waste, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Implement and uphold stringent health, safety, and hygiene standards in compliance with all local regulations.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, striving to exceed customer expectations.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sales, manage budgets, control costs, and achieve financial targets.
- Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality food and beverage products, maintaining brand standards and guest satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in restaurant management.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software (POS systems, inventory management).
- Strong financial literacy, including budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving abilities and decision-making under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Experience with fine dining or high-volume casual dining concepts.
- Certification in food safety (e.g., FoodSafe Level 2).
- Familiarity with local Vancouver F&B market trends.
