Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as directed by care plans.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with self-administration as per protocol.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities.
- Monitor and observe changes in clients' physical, mental, or emotional well-being and report to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other care team members.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Personal Support Worker or similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to show empathy, patience, and compassion.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification.
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and transfers.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker, Health Care Assistant, or Nursing Aide program.
- Previous experience working with diverse client needs (e.g., dementia, palliative care).
