Job Description

Are you a highly skilled and meticulous Painter seeking a challenging yet rewarding role within a thriving construction and maintenance environment? Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Painter to join our dynamic team in Leeds. This isn’t just about applying paint; it’s about bringing spaces to life, ensuring every finish is flawless, durable, and aesthetically pleasing.

As a key member of our construction finishing and maintenance team, you will be instrumental in delivering the high-quality standards that Hiring.zycto is renowned for. Your work will span across a diverse portfolio of projects, including new build residential properties, commercial fit-outs, and crucial maintenance work on existing structures. You’ll be expected to expertly prepare various surfaces – from plasterboard and wood to metal and concrete – ensuring they are primed for perfection. This involves careful cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and sealing to achieve an ideal base.

Beyond preparation, your core responsibility will be the precise application of paints, varnishes, sealants, and other finishes using a range of tools including brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. An impeccable eye for detail is paramount, ensuring consistent colour, texture, and an immaculate finish free from drips, streaks, or imperfections. You will also be expected to mix and match paint colours accurately, perform minor repairs to surfaces as needed, and ensure all work areas are maintained to the highest safety and cleanliness standards.

Safety is a cornerstone of our operations. You must be proficient in safely erecting and dismantling scaffolding and ladders, working at heights, and adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations. You’ll manage your time effectively, work collaboratively with other tradespeople – including plasterers, carpenters, and electricians – and contribute to a positive, productive site atmosphere. If you take immense pride in your craft and are committed to transforming visions into beautifully finished realities, we encourage you to apply and contribute your expertise to projects that truly make a difference in our community.
