Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our growing team as a Builder – Site Construction & Labour. Key Responsibilities
- Perform various construction tasks including bricklaying, blocklaying, concreting, and general labouring.
- Interpret and work accurately from architectural drawings and specifications.
- Operate a range of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, excavating, and setting out.
- Assist with the erection and dismantling of scaffolding, ensuring safety compliance.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and site-specific rules.
- Collaborate effectively with site managers, foremen, and other tradespeople.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Assist in the delivery and storage of materials.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or issues on site promptly.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a builder or construction labourer on active sites.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and plans.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools common in construction.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform demanding manual labour.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Trowel Occupations or a related construction trade.
- CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Full UK driving licence and own transport.
