Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our growing team as a Builder – Site Construction & Labour. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various construction tasks including bricklaying, blocklaying, concreting, and general labouring.
  • Interpret and work accurately from architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Operate a range of hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, excavating, and setting out.
  • Assist with the erection and dismantling of scaffolding, ensuring safety compliance.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and site-specific rules.
  • Collaborate effectively with site managers, foremen, and other tradespeople.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Assist in the delivery and storage of materials.
  • Identify and report any potential hazards or issues on site promptly.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a builder or construction labourer on active sites.
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and plans.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools common in construction.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform demanding manual labour.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Trowel Occupations or a related construction trade.
  • CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Full UK driving licence and own transport.
