Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Property Manager with a strong focus on rentals and maintenance to join our growing team in Ilkley. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of residential rental properties in and around Ilkley, ensuring optimal occupancy rates and tenant satisfaction.
- Conduct property viewings, tenant referencing, and prepare tenancy agreements in compliance with current legislation.
- Oversee rent collection, arrears management, and deposit protection schemes.
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of property maintenance, including liaising with contractors, scheduling repairs, and conducting regular property inspections.
- Ensure all properties meet health and safety regulations, including gas safety, electrical safety, and EPC requirements.
- Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and issues promptly and professionally, fostering positive landlord-tenant relationships.
- Provide expert advice to landlords on market trends, property improvements, and legal obligations.
- Manage end-of-tenancy processes, including check-outs, deposit returns, and dilapidations.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports for landlords.
- Actively market available properties through various channels to attract suitable tenants.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Property Manager, specifically in rentals and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of UK housing legislation, including landlord and tenant law.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Alto, Reapit, Jupix) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- ARLA Propertymark Level 3 or 4 qualification.
- Experience with CRM systems and digital marketing for property listings.
