Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Help patients with mobility, transferring, and ambulation as per care plans.
- Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) accurately.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe patient environment, including tidying rooms and changing linens.
- Assist with basic therapeutic procedures under direct supervision.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Document care provided and patient observations clearly and accurately in patient records.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control policies, and patient privacy regulations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Basic computer literacy for documentation.
- Physical ability to assist with patient mobility and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Patient Care Assistant, Health Care Aide, or similar program (certificate or diploma).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid/CPR certification.
- Previous volunteer experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Fluency in additional languages.
