Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Full-Time Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team in the Spanish Banks area of Vancouver. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound prescription medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Process prescription orders, enter patient information into the pharmacy system, and ensure proper billing.
- Provide professional and compassionate customer service, addressing patient inquiries and assisting with medication collection.
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, filing, and managing correspondence.
- Assist pharmacists with patient counselling and medication reconciliation as required.
- Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Support the resolution of insurance and billing issues.
Required Skills
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (CPBC).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a community or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Kroll, Nexxsys).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, calculations, and drug classifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sterile and non-sterile compounding.
- Familiarity with PharmaNet and other provincial healthcare systems.
- Additional certifications in specialized pharmacy areas (e.g., immunization support).
- Bilingualism (English and another language commonly spoken in Vancouver).
