Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandiser to join our vibrant team in the Toronto Islands area, operating with flexible hours to accommodate various schedules. This unique opportunity allows you to play a critical role in shaping the retail landscape, ensuring that products are presented optimally to attract and engage consumers. As a Merchandiser, you will be the eyes and hands on the ground, responsible for implementing visual merchandising strategies, maintaining product displays, and ensuring brand consistency across designated retail locations within Toronto and the surrounding GTA.

Your primary objective will be to maximize product visibility and drive sales through effective in-store execution. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain planograms and visual merchandising standards to optimize product placement and appeal.
  • Set up, arrange, and replenish product displays and promotional materials in various retail environments.
  • Monitor inventory levels, report out-of-stocks, and ensure products are properly stocked and priced.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess product placement, identify opportunities for improvement, and address merchandising issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store management and staff to ensure smooth operations and support.
  • Collect and report market intelligence, including competitor activities and consumer feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as retail partner guidelines.
  • Provide regular feedback and reports on merchandising activities, challenges, and successes to the management team.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in merchandising, retail, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Strong visual merchandising skills with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with store personnel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with flexible scheduling.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic computer proficiency for reporting and communication.
  • Reliable transportation to travel to various retail locations within the Toronto area.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in retail, marketing, or business is a plus.
  • Experience using merchandising software or reporting tools.
  • Valid G-class driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Knowledge of local retail markets and consumer trends in Toronto.
