Job Description

Hiring.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and proactive Procurement Executive – Contract & Purchase to join our dedicated team based in Liverpool. This pivotal role requires an individual with a strong foundation in procurement principles, exceptional negotiation abilities, and a meticulous approach to contract management. You will be instrumental in ensuring the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our purchasing operations, driving value across all our vendor relationships, and upholding the highest standards of compliance.

As a Procurement Executive, you will manage the full lifecycle of procurement activities, from strategic sourcing and vendor selection to contract negotiation, purchase order processing, and supplier performance management. Your expertise will directly contribute to optimizing our supply chain, identifying key savings opportunities, and mitigating risks. We are looking for a professional who can not only execute procurement processes but also think strategically to enhance our overall purchasing strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to contract award and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Lead and execute complex negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal policies.
  • Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements within the procurement function.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, products, and procurement trends.
  • Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods/services.
  • Monitor supplier performance against agreed KPIs and address any issues proactively.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on procurement performance, savings achieved, and market insights.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in procurement and contract management.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain management principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) qualification or working towards it.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a fast-paced or multi-industry procurement environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
