Instead, you’ll be provided with comprehensive on-the-job training from our experienced team leaders and skilled tradespeople. You’ll learn the fundamentals of fence installation, from preparing sites and digging posts to mixing concrete, handling materials, and accurately erecting various types of fencing, including timber, metal, and PVC. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, problem-solving, and contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled installers with all aspects of fence installation.
- Prepare work sites, including clearing debris, digging post holes, and marking boundaries.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and tools safely to and from job sites.
- Learn to mix and pour concrete for fence post foundations under guidance.
- Cut, assemble, and fasten fence panels, posts, and gates under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools are properly cared for.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Support the team in meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
- Assist with post-installation cleanup and site restoration.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 25 kg / 55 lbs).
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn a trade.
- Basic understanding of safety practices in a construction environment.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
- Punctuality and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid UK driving license (Category B).
- Previous experience with basic hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws).
- Basic knowledge of construction or landscaping principles.
- First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) or willingness to acquire.
