Job Description
Hiring.zycto is on the lookout for a highly skilled and dedicated Industrial Millwright to join our dynamic team in Fleetwood, Surrey. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to play a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our advanced industrial machinery and systems. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
- Repair and replace defective parts, reassemble, and test equipment for proper functionality.
- Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans and blueprints.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and rigging tasks as required.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate various hand and power tools, as well as hoisting and lifting devices.
- Participate in emergency repairs and respond to breakdowns as needed.
Required Skills
- Journeyman Millwright Red Seal certification (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 4 years of industrial millwright experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry setting
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Strong understanding of industrial safety standards and practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Competency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick)
- Experience with precision alignment tools and techniques
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina and ability to perform demanding tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with conveyor systems, pumps, gearboxes, and motors
- Knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation systems
- Forklift and aerial lift certifications
- Confined space and working at heights certifications
- Post-secondary education in a relevant mechanical trade
