As a Renovation Team Member, you’ll be an integral part of our dynamic crew, assisting with a wide range of tasks involved in residential and commercial renovation projects. From demolition and site preparation to framing, drywall installation, painting, and finishing touches, you’ll gain hands-on experience across various trades. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys physical work, has a keen eye for detail, and is dedicated to learning new skills. Key Responsibilities
- Assist experienced carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other tradespeople on various renovation tasks.
- Perform demolition tasks, including removing old fixtures, flooring, walls, and debris.
- Prepare job sites by setting up safety barriers, organizing tools, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Help with material handling, loading, and unloading, and ensure materials are stocked appropriately.
- Learn and apply basic construction techniques, including measuring, cutting, and fastening materials.
- Assist with drywall installation, taping, mudding, and sanding.
- Support painting preparation and application, including patching and priming.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures on job sites.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent punctuality and reliability.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform demanding tasks.
- Basic understanding of safety practices.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork capabilities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites (asset, but not required).
Preferred Qualifications
- No prior experience in renovation or construction required – we will train!
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools (e.g., hammer, drill) is a plus, but not essential.
- First Aid/CPR certification (can be obtained after hire).
