Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and process incoming merchandise efficiently and accurately in the early morning hours.
- Organize and stock shelves, racks, and displays with new products according to company standards and planograms.
- Verify incoming shipments against invoices, ensuring accuracy of quantity and type of merchandise, and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom and sales floor environment, including compacting cardboard and removing trash.
- Execute inventory management tasks such as stock rotation, cycle counts, and identifying damaged or expired products.
- Assist with product preparation, including ticketing, sizing, and security tagging as required.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and operational guidelines, especially when using equipment or handling heavy items.
Required Skills
- Ability to consistently lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic, especially for early morning shifts.
- Basic understanding of inventory principles and stock rotation.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping labels, invoices, and product information.
- Effective communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) in a retail, warehouse, or stockroom environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
