Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and proactive Application Support Analyst to join our growing team in Vancouver. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert Level 2 support for complex application issues, diagnosing and resolving technical problems efficiently.
- Monitor application performance and availability, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact users.
- Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to escalate bugs, track resolutions, and ensure timely deployment of fixes and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and incident reports.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedules to provide critical support outside of standard business hours when required.
- Assist in the testing and deployment of new application features, upgrades, and patches.
- Communicate effectively with end-users, providing clear status updates and explanations for technical issues.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an application support or technical support role.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting complex software applications and identifying root causes.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ability to write basic queries.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and incident management processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
