Job Description

Hiring.zycto is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our esteemed team in the picturesque British Properties of West Vancouver. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to a stimulating and nurturing learning environment for young children. As an ECE with Hiring.zycto, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing child-centric programs that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate daily programs and activities for children aged 0-5 years, adhering to provincial regulations and best practices.
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and play-based learning.
  • Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and communicating effectively with parents/guardians.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom space, ensuring all materials are accessible and age-appropriate.
  • Collaborate with co-workers and administrative staff to ensure the smooth operation of the program and adherence to all policies.
  • Administer first aid or seek medical attention as required, maintaining accurate records of incidents.
  • Attend staff meetings, workshops, and professional development sessions to continuously enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through respectful and clear communication.

Required Skills

  • Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate or License to Practice in British Columbia.
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-certification experience in a childcare setting.
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certification (Child & Infant).
  • Clear Criminal Record Check.
  • Strong understanding of child development theories and play-based learning approaches.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Experience with emergent curriculum and Reggio Emilia or Montessori philosophies.
  • Knowledge of BC Early Learning Framework.
  • Experience with special needs children or inclusive education practices.
  • Proficiency in an additional language.
