Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of physical tasks on construction sites, including digging, lifting, carrying, and operating hand and power tools.
- Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, and electricians with their duties.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, setting up safety barriers, and ensuring proper material storage.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring they are transported safely and efficiently.
- Operate basic construction equipment and machinery under supervision, if certified and experienced.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and foremen diligently.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in general construction or related trades.
- Proficiency in using common construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and construction drawings.
- Strong understanding and commitment to construction site safety protocols.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform demanding tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and standing for extended periods.
