Job Description
Hiring.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated HR Officer – Generalist to join our dedicated team in New Westminster. As an HR Generalist, you will be instrumental in supporting various aspects of HR, from talent acquisition and employee relations to performance management, policy implementation, and HR compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee relations, addressing grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, including payroll support, benefits enrollment, and leave management.
- Develop, implement, and interpret HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and professional development plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records and manage HR information systems (HRIS).
- Conduct HR-related training sessions for employees and management on topics such as harassment prevention, diversity, and leadership.
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and employee engagement.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR Generalist experience.
- Solid understanding of Canadian employment law, specifically BC employment standards.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPHR designation or working towards certification.
- Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS) and performance management software.
