Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the full cycle of recruitment activities, including drafting job descriptions, posting ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, preparing orientation materials and ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
  • Maintain and update HR records and databases (HRIS) with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices, industry trends, and compliance with Canadian employment laws.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in organizing employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, and company events.
  • Prepare HR-related documents, reports, and presentations as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, managing inquiries and assisting with general office tasks.
  • Participate in special HR projects aimed at improving efficiency and employee experience.

Required Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proactive attitude with a strong desire to learn and contribute.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous office administration or customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with HR Information Systems (HRIS) or applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Knowledge of basic Canadian employment law and regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
