Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive land surveys using various equipment including total stations, GPS, and LiDAR.
- Perform boundary surveys, topographical surveys, and as-built surveys for diverse projects.
- Undertake property valuations for a range of purposes including sales, acquisitions, and development appraisals.
- Analyze and interpret spatial data, aerial imagery, and legal documents to produce accurate maps and reports.
- Prepare detailed survey plans, valuation reports, and technical specifications.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, legal teams, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, regulations, and professional standards (e.g., RICS).
- Utilize GIS software for data analysis, mapping, and presentation.
- Provide expert advice on land-related matters, planning consents, and property disputes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Surveyor specializing in land mapping and valuation.
- Proficiency in surveying equipment (Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, Levels).
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Strong understanding of land law, planning policy, and property valuation methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- RICS accreditation (MRICS or FRICS).
