Key Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy all assigned rooms and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Change bed linen, make beds, and replace towels according to established procedures.
- Replenish guest amenities, toiletries, and informational materials as needed.
- Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and dust all surfaces, fixtures, and fittings.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly, including toilets, showers, sinks, and mirrors.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish in accordance with waste management policies.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or missing items promptly to supervision.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines for cleaning products.
- Maintain a polite, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests and colleagues.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is maintained, stored correctly, and used safely.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably within a hospitality setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of health and safety standards related to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
