Key Responsibilities

  • Perform precise alterations on a variety of garments including formal wear, casual clothing, and bespoke items.
  • Conduct fittings with customers, accurately measuring and pinning garments for adjustments.
  • Advise clients on best alteration practices and provide solutions for garment fit issues.
  • Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines, overlockers, and other tailoring equipment.
  • Execute both machine and hand-stitching techniques with high proficiency.
  • Inspect garments for quality control, ensuring all work meets Hiring.zycto's high standards.
  • Manage workflow efficiently to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist with stock management and fabric inventory as needed.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Tailor or Seamstress, with a strong portfolio of alteration work.
  • Expertise in garment construction, fabrics, and sewing techniques (both hand and machine).
  • Proficiency in operating various industrial sewing machines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for symmetry and proportion.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving abilities related to garment fitting and repair.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in fashion design, garment technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with bridal alterations or bespoke tailoring.
  • Knowledge of current fashion trends and styles.
  • Ability to speak additional languages, beneficial for our diverse clientele.
