Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual seeking to make a profound impact in your community? Hiring.zycto is actively recruiting for a Housing Support Worker to join our dynamic team, supporting individuals in Aspen Woods, Calgary. This vital role involves providing direct support to clients experiencing homelessness or housing instability, helping them navigate complex systems, and fostering their journey towards sustainable housing and improved well-being. This is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to transform lives, offering a safe and supportive environment for those who need it most.

As a Housing Support Worker, you will be instrumental in assisting clients with various needs, from accessing crucial community resources and managing important appointments to developing essential life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and maintaining a clean living space. The role requires flexibility, as it operates on a shift-work basis, ensuring round-the-clock support for our clients. This means you will play a critical role in maintaining continuity of care, whether it’s an evening, overnight, or weekend shift, providing consistent stability that is often lacking in our clients’ lives. You’ll work closely with clients to develop personalized support plans that address their unique circumstances, monitor their progress towards independence, and passionately advocate on their behalf with external agencies, landlords, and service providers.

Empathy, resilience, and a non-judgmental approach are paramount in this role, as you’ll often encounter individuals facing significant challenges, including mental health issues, substance use, and trauma. Your ability to build trusting relationships and provide unwavering support during difficult times will be key to their success. You will contribute to creating a stable and empowering environment, helping clients to achieve greater independence and dignity by fostering a sense of belonging and self-worth. Every interaction is an opportunity to uplift, guide, and empower. Join us in making a tangible difference, one individual at a time, by providing the crucial support that underpins successful housing outcomes and contributes to a stronger, more inclusive Calgary community. If you are driven by a desire to help others and thrive in a supportive team setting, we encourage you to apply.
