Job Description
Hiring.zycto is actively seeking an exceptional freelance Real Estate Photographer to partner with our growing network of real estate professionals in Heritage Park, Calgary, and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled photographer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for architectural aesthetics to contribute to high-impact marketing campaigns. As a freelance photographer, you will be instrumental in creating captivating visual content that highlights the unique selling points of various properties, from residential homes to commercial spaces. We are looking for individuals who can consistently deliver magazine-quality images, including interior, exterior, and aerial shots, that grab attention and drive engagement.
Your role will involve managing your own schedule, coordinating with real estate agents for property access, and executing shoots with professionalism and efficiency. Beyond photography, a critical aspect of this role is post-production, where your editing skills will transform raw images into polished, vibrant, and perfectly composed visual assets. Key Responsibilities
- Travel to various property locations within Calgary and the Heritage Park area to conduct professional real estate photography shoots.
- Capture high-resolution interior, exterior, and detail shots, utilizing advanced photographic techniques, lighting, and composition.
- Perform comprehensive post-production editing, including colour correction, exposure adjustments, perspective corrections, and retouching to ensure consistent brand quality.
- Organize and deliver final edited images to clients within agreed-upon timelines and specifications.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with real estate agents, homeowners, and our coordination team.
- Maintain and operate professional-grade photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Stay updated with the latest photography trends, editing software, and real estate marketing best practices.
- Adhere to scheduling commitments and provide exceptional customer service on every assignment.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 2 years) as a professional real estate photographer with a strong portfolio.
- Expertise in operating professional DSLR or mirrorless cameras, wide-angle lenses, and external flash systems.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-production editing.
- Demonstrated ability to compose visually appealing shots that highlight property features and architectural details.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to meet tight deadlines.
- Possession of reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with drone photography/videography and a valid Transport Canada Basic Operations or Advanced Operations drone pilot certificate.
- Familiarity with Matterport 3D tours or other virtual tour software.
- Knowledge of local Calgary real estate market trends and architectural styles.
- Ability to produce high-quality real estate video walkthroughs.
