Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and polishing of surfaces in all designated areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene and presentation.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces to a streak-free finish.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and carpet cleaners safely and effectively.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines, and company cleaning protocols.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or safety hazards observed during cleaning tasks.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working order and ensure cleaning supplies are managed efficiently.
- Interact professionally and courteously with clients, residents, and hotel guests while on premises.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in commercial, residential, or hotel cleaning.
- Strong attention to detail and a thorough approach to tasks.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience specifically within a hotel or corporate office environment.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and health & safety procedures.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (advantageous for multi-site roles).
- NVQ Level 1 or 2 in Cleaning & Support Services or equivalent.
- Ability to speak and understand English proficiently.
