Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose plumbing issues accurately and efficiently in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform repairs on various plumbing systems, including pipes, drains, water heaters, and fixtures.
- Install new plumbing systems, appliances, and fixtures according to blueprints and specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and preventative checks to ensure system longevity.
- Respond to emergency call-outs promptly and professionally, minimizing disruption for clients.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and industry best practices at all times.
- Provide clear explanations of work to clients and offer expert advice on plumbing solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, materials used, and client interactions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other tradespersons on multidisciplinary projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Plumber (minimum 2 years).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent qualification.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and rectify complex issues.
- Proficiency in working with various plumbing materials (copper, plastic, lead) and systems.
- Excellent manual dexterity, physical stamina, and attention to detail.
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean record.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with a polite and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Gas Safe registration (desirable for broader service capabilities).
- Experience with commercial plumbing systems and large-scale installations.
- Specific certifications in unvented hot water systems (e.g., G3 qualification).
- Experience with boiler repair, servicing, and installation.
- First Aid certification for on-site safety.
