As the Restaurant Supervisor, you will be the crucial link between senior management and our vibrant front-of-house team. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bussers, during shifts.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and satisfaction, promptly addressing any concerns or feedback.
  • Conduct staff briefings, delegate tasks, and oversee daily operational procedures to maintain efficiency.
  • Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to existing staff.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization in the dining area.
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and flow of service to optimize guest experience and restaurant capacity.
  • Oversee cash handling procedures, till reconciliation, and end-of-shift reports.
  • Enforce health and safety regulations, liquor licensing laws, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste where appropriate.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience of at least 3 years in a supervisory role within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and leading a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm, composed demeanor under pressure.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation with a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including familiarity with POS systems and reservation software.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the business.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) with clear articulation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership or an equivalent qualification.
  • Possession of a valid First Aid at Work certification.
  • Holds a Personal Licence (England & Wales) for alcohol sales.
  • Experience with staff scheduling and rota management software.
  • In-depth knowledge of local food and beverage trends and supplier networks.
