Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems, including cash, card, and mobile payments.
  • Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and politely.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and tidy checkout area, ensuring stock is neatly presented and easily accessible.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and customer complaints in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with stock rotation, merchandising, and shelf replenishment as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Accurately count and balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Promote loyalty programs, special offers, and store services to customers.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations and a positive working environment.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within retail, hospitality, or a supermarket setting.
  • Proficiency in operating Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and handling various payment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail for accurate cash handling.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Cashier or Sales Assistant.
