Job Description

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance Officer specializing in Budgeting and Accounts Reconciliation to join our vibrant finance team at Hiring.zycto. Your expertise in accounts reconciliation will be critical in ensuring the accuracy of our balance sheets, bank accounts, and various ledger accounts. This involves meticulous investigation of discrepancies, timely resolution, and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. You will work closely with various departments, gathering financial data, offering guidance on budgetary matters, and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the company. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive reconciliation of bank accounts, general ledger accounts, and balance sheet items on a regular basis.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports, variance analysis, and commentary for management review.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Develop and implement improvements to financial processes, systems, and controls.
  • Collaborate with departmental heads to gather budgetary inputs and provide financial guidance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrable expertise in accounts reconciliation and general ledger management.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification.
