Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, from job posting and candidate sourcing to interview coordination, offer management, and successful onboarding of new hires.
  • Administer payroll processing accurately and punctually, including data entry, leave tracking, benefits administration, and ensuring full compliance with all statutory and company requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR queries, providing accurate and timely advice on company policies, HR procedures, and employee benefits.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, promote best practice, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Assist in performance management processes, including scheduling reviews, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and supporting managers in employee development plans.
  • Organise and facilitate employee engagement initiatives, internal communication efforts, and professional development training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date employee records, ensuring data integrity and strict adherence to GDPR and data protection regulations.
  • Support conflict resolution and grievance procedures, promoting a fair, respectful, and harmonious workplace environment.
  • Contribute to HR projects focused on process improvement, employee well-being, and organisational development.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as an HR Officer or similar generalist role, with a strong understanding of the full HR lifecycle.
  • Solid experience in managing recruitment processes, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Demonstrable experience with payroll administration and a keen attention to detail for financial accuracy.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport at all levels.
  • Strong organisational abilities, excellent time management, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Discretion and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost integrity and professionalism.
  • Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 qualification (or working towards one).
  • Experience with specific HR software platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Sage HR, Workday).
  • Prior experience working in a recruitment agency or a fast-paced SME environment.
  • Familiarity with performance management systems and employee development programs.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
