Key Responsibilities
- Host engaging, entertaining, and informative live radio programs according to station format and guidelines.
- Conduct compelling interviews with guests, community leaders, and listeners, extracting valuable insights and perspectives.
- Curate and present news, weather, traffic, and community event updates accurately and engagingly.
- Prepare daily show content, including scripting, segment planning, and music selection (where applicable).
- Operate broadcast console equipment proficiently, ensuring seamless transitions and high-quality audio output.
- Interact with listeners via phone, social media, and other platforms, fostering a sense of community and participation.
- Represent the station at local events, remote broadcasts, and community engagements.
- Collaborate with producers, content creators, and sales teams to develop promotional campaigns and special programming.
- Maintain strict adherence to CRTC regulations and station policies.
- Continuously research local trends, current events, and listener interests to keep content fresh and relevant.
