Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using various databases and resources to support ongoing cases.
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
- Organize and maintain extensive case files, ensuring all documents are accurately categorized and readily accessible.
- Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and other legal documents for attorneys.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel to gather necessary information and schedule appointments.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including creating exhibits, preparing witness lists, and managing evidence.
- Verify factual data and citations in legal documents.
- Draft correspondence and communications related to case management.
- Monitor legal deadlines and ensure timely submission of all required documents.
- Attend court proceedings, depositions, and client meetings as required to provide support.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Paralegal, particularly in court preparation and legal research.
- Strong understanding of legal principles, research methodologies, and court procedures.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in legal research software and databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
