Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute professional photo shoots for various categories including events, portraits, and studio sessions.
- Utilize advanced lighting techniques and photographic equipment to achieve desired artistic and technical results.
- Perform comprehensive photo editing, retouching, and colour correction using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and provide creative input.
- Manage and maintain photography equipment, ensuring its optimal functioning and care.
- Organize and manage digital assets, including image backup, archiving, and workflow optimization.
- Stay updated with emerging photography trends, technologies, and post-production techniques.
- Travel to various on-location shoots across Cardiff and surrounding areas as required.
- Develop and present compelling visual narratives that align with client objectives and brand aesthetics.
Required Skills
- Proven proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, lenses, and studio lighting equipment.
- Expert-level command of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Lightroom and Photoshop for editing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of photographic principles including composition, lighting, colour theory, and exposure.
- An exceptional portfolio showcasing diverse work in event, portrait, and studio photography.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate creative concepts.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills for client interaction and subject direction.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to shoot locations.
Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent professional qualification in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with video capture and basic video editing software.
