As our VP of Human Resources – People, you will be responsible for defining and implementing a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with Hiring.zycto’s ambitious growth objectives and core values. You will champion a culture of engagement, innovation, and continuous development, ensuring that our talent practices attract, retain, and develop the best professionals in the industry. This is a hands-on strategic role where you will not only set the vision but also actively guide its execution across all facets of human resources.
Your expertise will be instrumental in evolving our talent acquisition strategies, optimizing our total rewards programs, enhancing performance management systems, and fostering a robust learning and development framework. You will lead efforts in organizational design and effectiveness, succession planning, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. You’ll also be tasked with leveraging HR technology to streamline processes and provide data-driven insights to leadership.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies, policies, and programs that support the company’s strategic objectives and foster a high-performance culture.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts, including employer branding, recruitment strategies, and onboarding programs, to attract and retain top-tier talent.
- Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that reward performance and ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Oversee performance management systems, including goal setting, feedback processes, reviews, and professional development plans.
- Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, fostering an inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued and have equal opportunities.
- Manage employee relations, addressing issues promptly and fairly, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Drive organizational development, including change management, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
- Implement and optimize HR technology solutions (HRIS) to improve efficiency, data accuracy, and reporting capabilities.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and department heads on all people-related matters.
Required Skills
- Proven executive leadership experience in Human Resources, preferably within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Deep expertise in all HR functional areas: talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, HRIS, and organizational development.
- Strong understanding of Canadian employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to build, mentor, and lead high-performing HR teams.
- Proficiency in HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.
- Change management expertise and ability to navigate organizational transformations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR/CPHR) designation.
- Experience in the Technology, Consulting, or Professional Services industry.
- Proven track record of building scalable HR infrastructure for rapidly growing organizations.
- Experience with a variety of HRIS platforms and leveraging technology for HR efficiency.
