As a Scaffolding Helper, you will be instrumental in the safe and precise erection, dismantling, and maintenance of diverse scaffolding systems crucial for a variety of high-profile construction projects throughout Toronto. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced scaffolders in the safe and efficient assembly and disassembly of various scaffolding structures (e.g., frame, system, tube and coupler).
  • Transport scaffolding materials (tubes, planks, fittings) to and from work areas on construction sites.
  • Inspect scaffolding components for defects or damage prior to use and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as provincial health and safety regulations.
  • Learn and apply proper knot-tying and rigging techniques for securing materials.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and lead scaffolders diligently and accurately.
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Perform general labour duties as required to support the construction team.
  • Contribute positively to team morale and a safe work culture.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability, with a commitment to punctuality.
  • High level of physical fitness and stamina for demanding outdoor work.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and follow detailed instructions.
  • A strong commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of construction site environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain immediately upon hire).
  • First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Prior experience working in an outdoor, physically demanding role.
