Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of a specific kitchen section (e.g., Garde Manger, Saucier, Rotisseur) during service.
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to company recipes, standards, and specifications with consistency and precision.
- Ensure the highest quality and freshness of ingredients, performing regular inventory checks and proper stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, adhering strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Supervise and mentor junior cooks and apprentices, providing guidance and training on culinary techniques and kitchen procedures.
- Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef on menu development, specials, and operational improvements.
- Monitor food preparation, cooking methods, and presentation to ensure all dishes meet established quality and portion standards.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, and storing kitchen supplies, minimizing waste and controlling costs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef or Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or relevant role in a high-volume, reputable kitchen.
- Exceptional knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods (e.g., grilling, roasting, sautéing, braising).
- Comprehensive understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (HACCP certification preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts, with an eye for presentation and detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary degree or relevant certification from an accredited institution.
