Key Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) with various tasks as needed.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from work areas.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades.
- Help with basic carpentry tasks, demolition, and site preparation.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other general labour duties as assigned to support project completion.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous physical tasks.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on a construction site.
- Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record.
- WHMIS and Working at Heights certification.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
