Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles using appropriate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against invoices or other records, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Accurately sort, label, store, and organize inventory within the warehouse, ensuring proper placement and accessibility.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, adhering to strict quality and quantity standards.
- Operate various warehouse equipment safely and proficiently, including pallet jacks, and potentially forklifts or reach trucks (with proper certification).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and resolve operational issues.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or incidents promptly to management.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Basic math and literacy skills to read labels, count inventory, and understand instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Flexibility to work the night shift schedule as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., Counterbalance, Reach Truck) and experience operating various material handling equipment.
