Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare work areas by covering floors, furniture, and other surfaces with drop cloths and tape.
  • Clean and sand surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint, including patching holes and cracks.
  • Assist experienced painters with mixing paints, carrying supplies, and setting up equipment (ladders, scaffolding).
  • Perform basic painting tasks under supervision, such as priming or applying base coats.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work site, including proper disposal of waste materials.
  • Clean tools and equipment at the end of each workday.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines on the job site.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working at heights (on ladders or scaffolding)
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid G-class driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Prior experience with basic hand tools or power tools (even in a personal capacity)
