Your day will involve meticulously preparing and delivering food and beverage orders, ensuring presentation standards are flawless, and promptly attending to guest requests. You’ll be responsible for accurate order taking, using our point-of-sale system, and having an excellent understanding of our menu offerings, including dietary considerations and beverage pairings, to confidently answer guest inquiries. Setting up and clearing dining areas within guest rooms requires discretion, efficiency, and an impeccable eye for detail, making sure the environment is left pristine.

Key Responsibilities
- Take guest food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, both over the phone and potentially in person.
- Deliver orders to guest rooms promptly and discreetly, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
- Set up dining tables/areas within guest rooms according to established standards, paying close attention to detail.
- Present bills and process payments accurately using the hotel’s point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Clear used dishes, glassware, and equipment from guest rooms in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all room service equipment, service areas, and delivery carts.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, allergens, and daily specials.
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs and inquiries with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen, front desk, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless service.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven customer service experience, preferably in hospitality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy trays (up to 25 lbs) and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Punctuality and reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Room Service Server or in a similar high-volume dining environment.
- Knowledge of POS systems commonly used in hotels (e.g., Opera, MICROS).
- Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Smart Serve certification (or willingness to obtain one) for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
